Guadalajara International Airport Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla: For Zapopan, skip the expensive airport taxi queue unless you land late or have several people. Take the airport’s local bus toward the city/Periférico Sur, then connect to Mi Tren and Line 3 for Zapopan Centro; allow roughly 55–90 minutes depending on your final address and about M$20–30 in local fares. With luggage, a pre-booked transfer or Uber is the sensible upgrade: roughly 35–60 minutes in normal traffic, but airport pickup rules and surge pricing can make it less straightforward than it sounds.
Central de Autobuses Guadalajara (Nueva Central): The modern long-distance terminal in Tlaquepaque is beside the Mi Tren station at Central de Autobuses. Take Line 3 toward Arcos de Zapopan/Zapopan Centro; it is the clean, cheap answer, though Zapopan is far across the metro area—allow about 50–75 minutes to central Zapopan. The cited system fare is about M$10 per ride; buy/load the Mi Movilidad card if you will use transit more than once.
Central Vieja: This is the useful terminal for regional buses from places such as Tequila, Chapala and Mazamitla. It is near Centro but in an area with a poor street-safety reputation for newcomers: use Uber/Didi or a licensed taxi to your hotel rather than walking with bags. To Zapopan Centro, expect roughly 30–50 minutes by rideshare in ordinary traffic; public transport is cheaper but involves a cross-city transfer and is not worth deciphering on arrival.
